Bird Life Sketches

Black Cap

These sketches are in my Stillman & Birn 9" x 12" Delta Series sketchbook.  The ivory paper and spiral binding don't make for easy scanning.

Jay

You've probably been wondering where I've been.  Well I've been wondering myself.  I think I'm back now.

Love these bird sketches, the Black Cap especially is beautifully captured. Happy you're back!

I love the way you've caught them with seeming ease - fresh and simple - yet I bet you worked hard to get that effect. Lovely

We must be on the same bird kick. Perhaps its a sign of an early spring.

Lovely,sensitive mark making Robyn.

Wonderful sketches, Robyn! The jays are so elusive, aren't they? I can't even get a photo in the rare times I spot them.

Many thanks everyone for your encouragement.
Felicity, the Jays are elusive. This one was photographed in Poole, Dorset. I've never managed to get one into our garden here in Tuscany but I do see them sometimes on my morning walks.
