Chiesa della Consolazione watercolour

3"x 3" watercolour on 6"x 6" on rough 140lb paper

Santa Maria della Consolazione

After the scorching day we had yesterday, I restricted my morning walk to inside the walls of our town. I found a shady spot to sit with a nice view of the octagonal church.

This is six days in a row of walking and painting. Tomorrow I rest!

You did quiet a few more little paintings since I checked in the last time. These are wonderful!!! I really like this one of the church and the one of the vines in front of the landscape. If I lived somewhere where I could walk to views like these I would be out every morning too!!! Thanks so much for sharing these!

Another gorgeous church Robyn. I think you have deserved a day of rest after six days of walking and painting.

Your watercolours seem to be changing - perhaps you're developing a very distinct style. Your use of colour is wonderful. I would have thought this church was 'too difficult!' LOL, for me.

You must have the most beautiful scenery! All of your paintings are so alive...and you have such a great style. I love the small size. I have always been drawn to "little" paintings and drawings.
Thanks for sharing your part of the world with us!
