Corner Tree - 3" x 3" watercolour
When I set out on my walk this morning I had high hopes for some clouds in the sky. By the time I'd found a shady spot and the subject of my painting, they'd gone and the sky was again a bright desaturated backdrop.

These two paintings, today's and yesterday's Robyn, so beautifully done! I LOVE the scens, the colors, the shadows! Really really well done!
Wow, BRAVO, BRAVO, RS! The colors and values on this one read like a lovely little photo when I saw it as a thumbnail. It's just beautiful! Very well done.
Bella! (I think that's what I mean to say in Italian!) In English - awesome!
Your avid follower, Casey.
Belinda - Thank you. I didn't hold out high hopes for this one but was surprised to find myself rather pleased with it. Now I'm doubly pleased.:)
Casey - 'Bella' will do me very nicely thank you. And your River Series is beautiful.
Bella indeed :>)
Lin - Belated thanks - your comment didn't publish before for some reason. I've just been enjoying your beautiful botanical paintings.
Vivien - :)
Just fabulous Robyn!
I found it interesting that the first thing I focused on were the shadows ans I wondered if our morning shadows went tne same way. I must look when we finally have some sun.
bella!
gorgeous :D I just want to take a leisurely stroll down that road
Very pretty.
Beautiful. I hope when you frame it that you include the white space around it. It really looks simply charming that way.
This series of watercolors is absolutely gorgeous! Love the use of subtle colors, light and shadow in your work!
You can really feel the heat of the sun in this!!! I'm captivated by that rich dark tree and it's shadow. Well done!!
Hi Robyn, I stopped by to see your paintings up close. When we post on the Sketchercise site everything has to be so small. I so enjoy enlarging your paintings so I can see every brush stroke.
This is a beauty Robyn. Just wonderful.
Beautiful!! Your morning walks are producing treasures!
