Tree in Morning Light
Working in this new small format I'm hoping to paint a watercolour every morning while I'm out doing my Sketchercise walk.
The sun was brutally bright behind this group of trees and it wasn't long before it burst out from behind and blinded me. I hope I've managed to capture the light on the little olive tree.

Good for you, Robyn, actually doing a watercolor while out for a walk! And it's beautiful, you've really captured that early morning ambiance.
This is just a lovely little painting. I really like it!
This does give a feeling of strong light, its lovely.
And good for you walking and sketching too. I'm remiss on both counts lately, just way to busy to fit in time.
Very Tuscan, I'd say.
Don't know how you can walk-and-paint.Oh, wait! You're a wife = multi-tasker!
you did manage to capture the light, really looks like the sun is shining on the tree in the back :)
Great plan Robyn and very successful first piece. How big is the sketchbook then that you can achieve this 'on the move' so to speak?
Robyn - This looks lovely...the trees and the distant view!!! I like the square format too.
Thanks Robyn for trying to help. I love your work, living in Tuscany sounds like heaven. Iam afraid I came to all this a bit late in life and it probably shows but I do have fun.
That is just gorgeous.

This is beautiful. I do love the bold tree in the foreground, the warmish colours in the middle ground and the cool washed out colours in the distance. Gorgeous.
