Painting the Tuscan Spring in Watercolour

Santa Lucia - 19 x 20 cm Moulin du Coq watercolour sketchbook

Our Wednesday afternoon painting group is venturing out now the beautiful spring weather has come to Castiglion Fiorentino. There were five of us out this Wednesday and it was such a lovely afternoon I think the group may soon start to expand.

I haven't had time to post much lately so here are a couple of other recent sketches:

Corner of the Piazza Maggiore - Bologna

We had a wonderful couple of days in Bologna to celebrate HWEM's birthday.

Road to Madonna del Bagno

The little sketch above was made near the town's recycling bins. There is beauty wherever you look.

Beautiful sketches Robyn, it looks so idyllic! Wonderful greens in the last one!

Lovely paintings of a lovely part of the world, Robyn. You can assume that most of us reading your blog would love to be there now and your group would indeed 'soon start to expand.'

What a wonderfu part of the world you live in Robyn and you have captured its delight and light magnificently in all three sketches. Well done with the hand made sketchbook - fine binding. I am having another one made by the clever lady in Cambridge with her coptic binding and I have chosen wonderful columbines for the cover fabric. Can't wait for it to arrive.
