6" x 4" my watercolour postcard to Liz Steel in Australia
One of the great things for me about 2011 is a postcard exchange by our Sketchercise group. It's called A Postcard From My Walk. Each month I will paint a postcard during one of my walks and send it off to another Sketcherciser, by this time next year I will have received, in return, thirteen beautiful little original works of art from all over the world.
You can see the delightful postcard I've received from my Sydney friend, Liz Steel HERE on our official group blog.

Both the above postcards have been a challenge in that they were painted outside here in Castiglion Fiorentino (Italy) in the winter. Roll on Spring!
None of us knows where our next postcard is coming from so that's a surprise to look forward to each month.
Many thanks to Katherine Tyrrell (Making a Mark) for creating the wonderful Sketchercise Group and to Ronell van Wyk (Africantapestry) for her dedication in getting this exchange up and running.

Your postcards are going to look great as a suite. Pity they'll be redistributed all round the world! Never mind - you can have an internet page for them
Why niot make one of your Blogger Pages your record of all your postcards?
Thanks, Katherine. I am now wishing I had put the little brush pen frame on Martin's card too. I was going to but for once I found working that small a bit of a challenge, so I didn't have room for the frame. I will try to leave room for it on all the rest though.
I'm not sure how many pages I can have on my blog - I'm already using three. There's another technical challenge for me ;)
Done it! Thanks, Katherine.
These are wonderful, and I agree with KT, they'd be a lovely little collection of cards. Are you planning to make yours into postcards for sale? :)
Such fun! And the one you did for Martin is just sheer perfection... that light, that atmosphere. It is completely transporting.
Are all the cards originals or do you print some of them? You could sell them from here. I would buy.

Your postcards are so pretty! What a fun exchange!
I'm so sorry for your loss this morning. You have posted a very loving tribute. I hope you can find comfort in many places and many faces in the days to come.
These are both beautiful. liz and Martin are lucky to have received them.
These postcards are beautiful! The recipients will be blessed.
I am so sorry for the loss of your sister. May you find peace and comfort in the days to come.
