A few sketches

A picnic lunch beside a little canal.

April has been a wonderful month in that we've had a lot of friends staying in town. Not much painting got done but just to prove I'm still around, here are a few sketches I managed at different locations.

Shirley - Thank you. I've been a bad blogger lately.

"Bad blogger! Sit! Type!"

No, no. Good artist! Wonderful experiences fill the well. Drink 'em on in!

(But I'm glad to "see" you just the same!)

I could hear all the intonation in Sherrie's postal commands!

It's always great to see your work.

I love the first one Robyn. You are doing so well with these sketches.

Hi Robyn - like you, we often have busy springtime of visitors and painting is put aside. Have a quieter week coming up, so plan to get back to my oil painting. Like the cheerful sketches - we are so lucky to live in such beautiful parts of the world, though very different.

I love the loose spontaneity of these - the top one especially. Lovely use of color too.
