Half a Cat Sketch

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen and a restless model

I had such plans for February - then my back went. I saw out the month on a cocktail of drugs and am still afraid to sit still for too long. I hope to find my way back to painting soon, just as I hope some Spring weather will find its way back to Tuscany.

Many thanks to all of you who expressed concern at my disappearance. Look after you backs!

Ouch, Robyn! Know what you mean about a month vanishing - January was that for me with bronchitis! Hope you continue to improve and the cat comes back to pose!

Thanks, Gillie. Let's hope we both have put the worst behind us.

WoW....... I'm so sorry to hear that. Rest we will wait. I have to say I have not been on the blogs either and I missed seeing all the work you've done. Now I have to catch up. All your pieces with the snow are just SO beautiful. I love them all.

It must be symbolic that you were only able to drab the back of the cat! I'm glad you're feeling well enough to draw a bit. I hope that means you're on the mend!!! All the best!

Welcome back! I'm glad you're feeling better and posting again. A half a cat sketch is better than none:) I'm impressed that you could persuade your model to hold still as long as you did.

Oh, I am so sorry it was something difficult that made you disappear, Robyn! You've been missed. I kept hoping you were on some exotic trip somewhere, off enjoying yourself. I hope you're feeling your normal self very soon. This cat is wonderful--so expressive! Welcome back--I hope the back behaves from here on in.

Been there done that and got the diclofenac!

Great to see you back posting again - and I love your half a cat!

So wondered what had happened to you Robyn - thought you might have gone down under (Australia) for a long sabbatical to see family and old friends. So sorry about your back - see you just managed to sit still long enough for half a cat!!!

Many thanks everyone. I'm gradually getting to visit your blogs again.

Katherine - I had to look up diclofenac and yes it was the first medication I started, then the doctor put me on something stronger which I had a horrible allergic reaction to and so I moved on to the third cocktail - steroids and Valium! I didn't even know they still made Valium. I won't be going back there in a hurry.

If you can turn out such beautifully simple line drawings in the few minutes your back will allow, Robyn, it bodes well for when you get back to full strength. Take care and get better soon.

And an "ouch!" from me, too. Hope you're better now.
Erm...where was Dermott when you were sketching his favourite pastime?
