That Blue Hat

Sally lost her blue hat in a changing room of an Arezzo boutique. I was so disappointed because I wanted to paint her in it. The hat turned up later, hiding in the sleeve of her overcoat. So here's Sally in That Blue Hat.

I don't think I've seen one of your portraits before. You've really captured the person, here. Lots of character. My little three year old has the same type of hat, and the blue eys to go with.
Love this work!

Ciao Signora! I've been admiring your art work and envy you are in such a beautiful place to paint! I was in Italy for the first time last summer and fell in love with all of it!
I really like this portrait as well. I love portraiture and know I must practice and practice!!! Can't wait to see what you post next! marta in Southern California

Casey - Thank you, your comment has given me a real boost.

Marta - Thank you too. This is a beautiful place to paint and I feel guilty every day I don't take advantage of it. My current excuse is the cold weather!

Robyn, this is just exquisite. I can see why you wanted to paint her in that hat! Well done!

Laura, thank you for seeing what I wanted to capture. Your encouragement, as usual, is inspiring.
