Well I certainly don't get any prizes for maintaining a Blog! There have been many distractions, not the least the decision to extend our planned two year stay and the purchase of an apartment. The garden apartment in the historic centre of our town had 'absolutely nothing that needed doing'. If you believe that, you'd believe anything! So, many builders, plumbers and evaporation of money later, we are comfortably at home here.(like most of my watercolours, lacking shadows - hoping to improve soon).
Not a great deal of art has happened in the last year. I was trying to conquer watercolours but then decided I needed to improve my drawing, so that set me off on another path for some months. Now I'm back to the watercolours. The paintings and drawings above just about bring my artistic journey up to date. Photos of the apartment will follow in the near future.

Wow,Robyn! This is a lot of lovely work! I'm very impressed with the tower at night---I hope to be doing night scenes next year and yours is inspiring! I hope this post marks the beginning of new momentum with your art. Wonderful to see what you've done so far.
Ooooh these are just delicious! Wonderful work! I so envy you Italy at the moment. I loved living in Rome. Would love to go back now that I have my inspiration back. The colours in the tower pictures are fabulous. How big are these?
Laura - How lovely to have you visit! I'm still trying to find my way around this blog. Your comments are most appreciated and I can't wait to see your art plan for 2007 unfold!
Anita - I'm still uncertain about these towers myself but I really wanted to get out of my 'pale' watercolour rut and this was it. They are only about 15 x 24cms. I haven't even graduated to a half-page yet! Thank you for your kind comments - I really respect your opinion. ciao Robyn
