Wildflowers in an Olive Grove - Nikon D40X
How can I justify sitting in my studio staring at my computer when it looks like this outside? Following a fine example by Making a Mark and Laurelines, this blog is going to take a short holiday - a week or two - hopefully to do some painting en plein air and some weeding in the garden.
Our art show is on for most of May and that is more demanding and tiring than I expected. A full report when it's all over.

I SO know the feeling -- this weekend was WILD with things to do -- so instead, I'm painting/sketching plein air -- isn't at all successful in the paint arena -- but I am so enjoying the weather.
FABULOUS view and photo ---!!! Enjoy the rest! Though I'll miss you!
Beautiful view! Enjoy the break. We all need one now and then.
Shoot! We'll miss the spring in Italy posts. But, enjoy your break and we'll be eagerly awaiting your return.
Oh what a lovely picture! Hope you come back soon with lots more to share and some lovely paintings as well.
Good luck with your art show! I'll miss your posts, but I know exactly how you feel. I'm going to shut my computer down this minute and go enjoy the sun. I'll catch up later.......
have a beautiful holiday Robyn! and good luck with your show
I don't blame you for wanting to get outside and paint. I'd be sitting right in that field if I was there. Poppies!!!!! I'm jealous.
Sunny California is under gray skies today! I'm sitting in a coffee shop with my laptop sipping coffee, eating a muffin and fianlly catching up with my art friends! Oh, do enjoy your hiatus...from this photo I can imagine myself frolicking in the wild grasses and picking wildflowers to adorne my hair!!! And an Italian version of my Rudy to frolick with me!!! I have been so enjoying all previous posts, the tulips, the Japanese series and am celebrating your art show along with you!!!
Che bellezza! Fa freddo qui.
I hope you enjoyed your holiday from blogging as much as I enjoyed mine! I love the group photo above---you look wonderful, makeup or not!
