I loved seeing your iris painting!<br /><br />Laura - Your encouragement is always treasured :) I didn't know Sara Midda and am a bit frustrated that there are only tiny publishing related sketches on the internet. It is nice though, to be compared to someone who is so obviously successful. She reminds me a little of the paintings of Mary Fedden, whom I adore. Also like Sara's use of the white line - which is what I've been chasing in my woodcut printmaking. Anyway I'll keep at it and see if my own style evolves.<br /><br />Cathy - thank you. No, this isn't the church that is 'too difficult' but I will take the hint and walk back there and attempt it when it's not so hot.<br /><br />Lin - I wish I'd been more dedicated to getting on and sketching when you were here.
