Please don't stop :)

Stacy - Thank you so much, but I have to tell you my water colour failures would paper a wall (or two). I love the sound of purple and orange carrots. I'll have to speak to 'The Gardener'.Robyn Sinclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01663604160297996421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14082946.post-48262993066589314662008-07-14T17:59:00.000+02:002008-07-14T17:59:00.000+02:00Robyn,You had better start using proper paper beca...Robyn,

You had better start using proper paper because I've never seen a watercolor by you that didn't work out! This onion is beautiful! As is your loose landscape sketch.

I've been choosing my vegetables at the local farm market by which ones I think are prettiest. Recently I picked up some beautiful orange and purple carrots. I started painting them but didn't get a chance to finish it yet. Luckily I took photos of the carrots before we ate them. :)Stacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02494806312648513169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14082946.post-51687527037918038512008-07-14T16:48:00.000+02:002008-07-14T16:48:00.000+02:00That's ok - this onion deserves to be seen twice. ...That's ok - this onion deserves to be seen twice. I am in love with the cross strokes in the leaves, and the way the skin curls down right at the top, and the spots of color at the base. The shadow, the color... it's all so simple and lovely. Who knew an onion could be so perfect?jujhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05297173587055224228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14082946.post-68205224540158899592008-07-13T22:38:00.000+02:002008-07-13T22:38:00.000+02:00Thank you, Lin. :)Shirley - Many thanks, if I'd pa...Thank you, Lin. :)

Shirley - Many thanks, if I'd painted it on proper paper I could have. But if I'd painted it on proper paper, it probably wouldn't have worked out. Catch 22.

Sharon - Thank you - and my P. Maroon does not look better than yours! If it hadn't been for you, I'd have forgotten I had the perfect colour for this onion. ;)Robyn Sinclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01663604160297996421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14082946.post-23627391978038258202008-07-13T22:17:00.000+02:002008-07-13T22:17:00.000+02:00Robyn, These are lovely and luminous!
